You know the dilemma well: you’re working a wedding, prepared to be on your feet and on the move all day. You’ve got plenty of things to carry, whether it’s heavy camera equipment and lenses, or maybe you’re rolling your makeup bag while holding the foldable chair over your shoulder. Perhaps you’ve got a bucket of floral supplies in one hand, and a giant peony bouquet in the other. Maybe you’re a wedding planner tucking the binder filled with timeline, contracts, invoices, photos, and other important information under your arm, and in the other hand you’re juggling the guest book balanced on top of the giant box of pots that is so nicely gift wrapped. Point is, whoever you are reading this, you’ve worked “that” event before. Your pockets may already be filled with lens cleaner and usb cards or maybe you wear your little black dress so you’re appropriate for the ceremony. You clearly don’t have pockets for anything else and your hands sure as heck are busy holding or doing something else. Let’s be honest, your phone gets lost at the bottom of the equipment bag or left on a table somewhere. I’ve worked many weddings, in which a majority of my time is spent calling or texting vendors, double-checking timelines or floor plans saved on my phone, or checking the time. Needless to say, my phone needs to be attached to my hip. I struggled to find an ideal method or product that worked for me, that could literally allow my phone to be attached to my hip and I almost gave up my search for the best phone case. After testing out many waist bags (insert: fanny packs) and countless dresses with pockets that were too small for a phone, nothing seemed to work for me. Sure, I had shoulder purses, but they were bulky and had too many zippers or snaps or clasps that I fumbled around when I really all I needed was super quick access to my phone screen. Then, it happened…
The K. Carroll phone case is THE best phone case for weddings. Seriously. It has a short strap for around your wrist, but I solely use the cross body strap. It can fall to either hip and is low enough that it’s not flopping around while you walk. It’s super lightweight, so you barely feel like it’s there. You’ll have that brief “where did I leave my phone?!” moment, only to remember it’s literally right at your side. Remember how I said it’s the best phone case to have while working a wedding… well you can choose from 29 colors ranging from a neutral black to a purple and yellow combo (Lakers fan, anyone?). I personally have the beige and black option, and just purchased the pink and black option for a subtly formal look while I work.
PROS
It’s literally the best phone case you can use while working weddings. The end.
No, but seriously…
CONS
DESCRIPTION
The K. Carroll crossbody phone case is about 5.5″ tall and a little more than 2.5″ wide for my iPhone 7. Your case size will vary depending on your phone version. The case is somewhat flexible, so you can maneuver one side of your phone in and wrap the cover around the other without worrying about cracking a stiff case. The back side has 3 layered pockets where you can fit room keys, ID, credit cards, cash, or even a folded up printed timeline like I do! The camera lens is unobstructed, and the volume and power buttons are covered and unexposed. There are 2 sturdy clips that keep the strap attached to the case. They aren’t flimsy, so I never worry about the case coming undone by itself. The outside is made from a faux leather so it the entire phone case looks very high end.
WHAT I LOVE THE MOST
I like that there’s no zippers or snaps- your phone is easily accessible without needing to open flaps or pull it out from somewhere. You simply reach down, tap your screen and go. Then when you’re done, drop your phone and it’ll fall right back at your side. The strap is long enough that you can pull your phone up to your ear to make a call or in front of your face to text while it’s still attached around your shoulder. What I love most about this case is that it was super affordable and has lasted me, in mint condition, for over 3 years.

Runner Up Options for the best phone case to carry while at a wedding:
They’re a bit more bulky on the card carrying side, which I don’t like because then I might as well carry a purse. Otherwise, they get the job done!
