Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a young prince longed for his beauty…
This Beauty and The Beast wedding was published on The Perfect Palette and recently featured on Bridal Guide and Wedding Magazine, so I felt it was time to share the rest of the images for all the movie lovers who are in need of some serious Disney wedding ideas. I had a wonderful team of creatives on board for this wedding inspiration. I didn’t want to exaggerate any character elements, so this Beauty and the Beast wedding design takes a romantic and muted twist on the Disney theme.
Combining the original classic with the live action remake, we decide to incorporate elements from both versions of the Disney tale. Hints of the classic Disney movie elements are present in subtle, but compelling ways. A teacup charm adorned the wedding invitations, pun-ny Disney phrases, a rose wax seal, while script, “fairy tale” fonts were used.
The infamous rose petals served as place cards for a truly unique touch that made this wedding stand out from any other!
Each rose petal was personalized and hand written with gold paint to compliment the gold rimmed stemware and other metallic accents throughout the tablescape.
We decided to use distressed wood tables, for a royal feel. The gold flatware and dinnerware were beautifully arranged by Events on the Loose. The table was perfectly fit for any guest! We draped scarlet satin napkins off the table, so they’d flow like the cloak of royalty.
The vivid, vibrant floral arrangements by Rodri Studios, accentuate the Beauty and the Beast movie’s stained glass castle windows. The centerpieces sat in gold vases, complimenting the tall candelabras for a nice balance of heights on the table.
Even the statement rose cloche was present.
Playing off stained glass also, is the intricate wedding cake designed by Sucrette Tailored Confections!
I expressed an interested in incorporating some of the blues and purples from our florals into the cake, without creating a caricature piece that looked too cartoony.
Sucrette executed this vision perfectly by using water color elements and bold lines to create a one of a kind stained glass cake. The detail is incredibleeeee!
The bridal bouquet uniquely incorporates screws, nuts, and bolts, paying homage to both Belle and her father, and their background as a hardworking inventors.
It was important for us to include a way to make this bouquet extraordinary and unique, even if only slightly.
Hints of the classic Disney movie elements are present in subtle, but compelling ways: musical lyrics on the groom’s tie clip,
the beloved candlestick and clock friends make an appearance on the table scape, the ever important hand mirror,
French macarons,
Parisian wood crates and perfume,
and Belle’s cherished (and plentiful) book collection.
The groom’s textured navy suit and gold vine cuff links mimic the stacked patterned dinner plates and chargers. We chose navy to add a little nostalgia from the Beast’s suit jacket.
The bride’s delicate off-the-shoulder Maggie Sottero gown exudes effortless romance, to match Belle’s simplistic style.
If this gown doesn’t say Disney princess, I don’t know what does! Her loose braid is decorated by a simple flower, similar to what Belle might pick from the field while daydreaming or flipping through her pages.
You would never know that this “castle courtyard” exists right in the heart of Downtown Fort Lauderdale!
The venue’s brick and stone appearance with overgrown greenery and tattered stone parallels the mildly unkempt Disney “beast”.
We’ve emphasized a lot Belle’s laughs and smiles, true to her buoyant personality. Is that some really yummy tea… or is she possibly conversing with Chip?
Our bride and groom share an intimate dance in the courtyard, twirling like the true Disney prince and princess they are.
This Beauty and the Beast wedding inspiration should fill you with tons of Disney wedding ideas to write your own chapter to this treasured love story we all know and love.
These two were definitely made for a fairytale romance! Found enough Disney wedding ideas? If not, check out our Bella Notte Lady and the Tramp editorial published on Style Me Pretty.
