The Invites: a beautifully laser cut gate fold opened up to delicate gold print and a non-invasive invitation card. The real “wow” would come later!
The Dress: Stephanie spent the morning getting glammed with her best friends and enjoyed relaxing before a long day of celebration. Stephanie wore a beautiful princess gown from Stella York with an illusion cut dip in the front and a gorgeous triangle patter in the back. Complete with a soft ribbon and tulle bow, she was ready to say, “I do!”
The Bling: We always fall more in love with each couples’ rings and these ones did not disappoint. Stephanie’s engagement ring was a gorgeous pear cut halo pave ring that fit sweetly against her matching wedding band. In true “something blue” fashion, some baby blue sapphire family rings were also incorporated.
The Ceremony: Stephanie and Kevin were married at St. Maurice Catholic Church, just a few miles from the Conrad hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. When Stephanie stepped out of the limo and down the aisle, Kevin’s face made time stand still! Even the flower girl and ring bearer were in good spirits!
The Cocktail Hour: As ceremony concluded, so too did the Ft. Lauderdale Air Show. Guests were invited back to Conrad Ft. Lauderdale onto the pool deck where lawn games, tasty drinks, and delicious food awaited them.
The Entrance: Back on the 3rd floor, guests were greeted with strolling lady tables for an added entertainment value! One lady’s table held the tastiest welcome drinks while the other was for escort cards. In true Marie Antoinette meets Alice in Wonderland wedding fashion, the escort cards were vintage keys with calligraphy tags. Later in the night, the strolling tables were used to pass more drinks throughout the ballroom.
The Bouquet: To pay homage to late loved ones, Stephanie’s bouquet included photo charms. Her bouquet was a sideways loose arrangement with blush, violets, and ivories.
The Portraits: If you’re having a Conrad Ft. Lauderdale wedding, I highly suggest you head out to the ballroom terrace or penthouse for photos, because you’ll get a private, natural lit backdrop. In true Oh My Occasions fashion, we make sure our couples are taken care of. So, when the bride was getting a little hungry during the long period of time between portraits and dinner, we hopped in with a little snack to save the day!
The Wedding Party: The bridesmaids wore varying styles of purple, lavender, and eggplant colors. The gentlemen wore lavender skinny ties and charcoal suits.
The Dinner: Beyond the giant push ballroom doors was a sea of Spring florals. Centerpieces were filled with lush lavender, blush, peach, and ivory blooms with loose greenery. Each table was adorned with a custom made doorknob table number.
The Party: After a stationed dinner, the party started! Guests danced to all sorts of top hits before the Hora Loca began. This “crazy hour” featured bedazzled performers, a percussionist, along with a feather headdress stilt walker with LED wings!
