Camille and Lucas met over 8 years ago while playing board games at a friend’s house. Equal part adventurers and home bodies, depending on the day you can find them out and about with their dog, Duke, or planning their next vacation.
For their wedding vision, Camille and Lucas wanted something organic, modern, and romantic. They had nailed the organic aspect with the venue, and in order to bring some more contemporary vibes into the garden feel, they incorporated harsh black elements and gold accents.
The Invites: created on Minted.com, these edgy wedding invitations added a little personality to the already soft and romantic feeling venue. The brush letter font was playful so as not to create too much of a “dark” vibe.
The Wedding Party: the bridesmaids wore varying styles of black outfits, with the maid of honor is a totally adorable pant suit! Again, the black was balanced, this time by loose floral bouquets by Ever After Floral filled with miscellaneous garden flower types and hanging greenery. The groomsmen wore charcoal suits with a skinny black tie, while the groom opted for a stylist black tux and real bow tie. Positioned in the ever-whimsical yard of Villa Woodbine, the entire wedding party looked dapper beyond belief!
The Dress: Twirling in her gorgeous Leanne Marshall gown, you’d think this dress was made especially for Camille. She exuded all sorts of Goddess vibes!
First Look: Grab the tissues, seriously! Watching Camille prepare to walk out the doors to her groom was so endearing. He waited outside the villa with his back turned, while Camille walked slowly up to tap his shoulder. Tears began before she even reached Lucas, and their embrace and moments during this time were so special to witness. Their love absolutely radiated!
The Ceremony: Guests were invited to take custom yarmulkes for this reformed Jewish ceremony. The bride and groom signed their ketubah in the presence of their closest friends and family before saying, “I do” just steps away. The ceremony, complete with a custom copper chuppah, was set with organic wood cross-back chairs and lit bistro lighting covered the existing trees. Camille chose for her mom and dad to both walk her down the aisle where a family rabbi married them, incorporating Korean and Jewish elements to their special day. Lucas broke the glass, and with that, the yard was transformed into the reception space.
Dinner: The same cross-back chairs were used for the dining tables which were a mix of long farm style with a light cloth runner and round tables with a simple white linen. The same stunning florals were used throughout, with touches of peach, burgundy, salmon, and mauves with loose greenery pieces. The copper ceremony structure now doubled as an awning for the sweetheart table, where large floral arrangement were situated playfully on the corners. An abundance of candlelight romanced the table tops so when the sun set, it felt like an intimate gathering in a backyard.
The Party: Back into the courtyard where the guests has already been for cocktail hour, the party began with a traditional Hora! The dancing moves were on fire, and the guests partied all night! A special appearance by Camille and Lucas’s dog, Duke, was executed in a fun way through photo booth props!
The Cake: Talk about too pretty to eat! This stunning 4-tier wedding cake was adorned with the most stunning arrangement of flowers. Thanks to the Ever After team, a gorgeous u-shaped design was created to grace the front of the simple buttercream exterior.
